The Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJAIT) in Warsaw is the leading private IT university in Poland. Established in 1994 following a bilateral agreement between the governments of Poland and Japan, PJAIT has built a reputation for excellence in technical education by combining cutting-edge technology with creative arts and the rich heritage of Japanese culture.

The Academy is authorized to confer PhD and post-doctoral degrees in Engineering and Technical Sciences (Computer Science) as well as in the field of Art (Visual Arts). The educational offer includes Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs, along with an IT-focused MBA. The university’s faculties encompass Computer Science, Information Management, Graphic Design, Interior Design, and the Culture of Japan. In 2025, the Faculty of Computer Science expanded its academic scope by launching a specialised major in Cognitive Science. One year later, a new program in Bioinformatics was introduced.

PJAIT remains deeply connected to its Japanese roots while maintaining a strong European presence. It serves as the only center in Poland authorized to conduct the JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test). Beyond language studies, the curriculum allows students to engage deeply with Japanese customs and aesthetics.

International mobility is a key component of the academic experience. Students and staff benefit from extensive exchange programs, including scholarship-funded stays at partner universities in Japan and across Europe through the Erasmus+ program.

Professional success and personal growth are central to the institution's mission. The Academic Career Office provides personalized career counseling and organizes the PJAIT Career Fair, which connects students directly with prestigious global employers.

To support international integration, the Academy offers intensive language programs in English and Polish to reach B2 proficiency, alongside the artistic course designed for aspiring art students.
