SGGW is a modern life sciences university with over 200-year tradition.
SGGW offers 42 study programs in Polish and 13 degree programs in English as well as PhD education in the Doctoral School.
Since 2023 SGGW belongs to The green European University (UNIgreen) in the frame of the European Universities Initiative. UNIgreen is a thematic Alliance of 8 European higher education institutions with a specific focus on sustainable agriculture, green biotechnology and environmental and life sciences, which are pivotal areas for achieving a resource-efficient, circular, digitised and climate neutral economy by 2050.
SGGW provides excellent long life learning opportunities. Modern scientific and didactic facilities, several research centers and numerous experimental units facilitate research at the highest level. Every year students and staff publish scientific papers in the best JRC-ranked journals.

SGGW has one central campus which is easily connected to downtown Warsaw and the Warsaw Chopin Airport. 2500 dormitory places, student health center, and sport facilities are also available.
SGGW aims at internationalization of education and research. Studies and training abroad is possible thanks to Erasmus+ Program and bilateral agreements with partner institutions. Students and staff attend international conferences and summer schools of the Euroleague for Life Sciences - ELLS network.
